THE LEARNED SQUIB WITH ADESINA OGUNLANA: HABA KYARI, OUR NEXT AMBASSADOR ?

 

EDITOR'S NOTE: This Column was written few days before the suspension of Abba Kyari, now former IRT Boss

With due respect , Mr Abba Kyari ,described by the US as ' a much decorated police officer in Nigeria ' should simply resign from office . And I am not making this suggestion on account of the HUSHPUPPI'S TALES IN AMERICA .Heck, no .

 Some sentimentalists have started defending him based on his hyped CV as a police officer . But hear what Kyari himself put out  in a short story he recently authored and launched globally .

1. Hushpuppi reported Chibuzor to Kyari's office on the claim of 'threat to life 

2. Kyari  without any investigation at all arrested and detained  Chibuzor 

3. In detention , Kyari the 'super sleuth'  discovered the truth . The allegation was completely baseless . It was actually a case of ' money matters ' between two friends ' Hushpuppi and Chibuzor 

4 . Chibuzor was now freed 

5 Hushpuppi   was not arrested or charged to court for giving false information to the police over Chibuzor 

6 Hushpuppi now fancied Kyari's native wears  and Kyari now linked Hushpuppi with Kyari's tailor 

7 Hushpuppi contacted the  yet unnamed tailor and paid for five sets of native  wears  and paid directly to the tailor . 

8 . The good tailor did his job and delivered the goods o the office of Kyari 

9. Hushpuppi now came over and collected his goods

Do you believe him ? It does not matter what your belief is . What matters is this: a super cop , a much  celebrated and decorated police officer , supposedly the BEST investigator in the Nigeria police system has by himself admitted that he failed , refused and neglected to arrest , detain and prosecute a person who knowingly and willfully gave false information to the police to the hurt of amother person . Worse , Kyari the super cop became a friend to this misleader of the police and turned his office to an interchange,  a collection centre of items for a  mean , vindictive  criminal minded person ..

Most unfortunately , Kyari has proved by his confessional short story  that the Nigeria Police is degenerate, highly unprofessional,  anti people and grossly irresponsible . Or is Kyari not the golden boy of the Police ? 

LET HIM RESIGN OR BE DISMISSED 

NB . However ,  I will be shocked if this fake integrity government of Buhari should fire Kyari and send him to the  US  to face any trial involving HUSHPARROT . The more likely scenario is for this utterly deceitful , double standards government to give him triple promotion and shortly theraafter 

" Burantanshiing" him into one ambassadorial position with the full approval of our federal parliament
